Morsel’s free health application could change your lifestyle
Morsel’s free health application could change your lifestyle is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
General Electric have just rolled out a new version of the App Store lifestyle application Morsel, having attracted almost a quarter of a million “morsels” – small steps towards a better, healthier lifestyle. Morsel 2.0 is free to download and provides small, actionable steps to better health. The update brings about a number of new features, including: share via Twitter and Facebook; customizable favourites and to-do lists; personalized plans; and the ability to share with the world your own “morsel” of information.
“The new version of free mobile application ‘Morsel’ provides a manageable and rewarding program to take a daily simple step toward better health” writes GE in their press release, “while also allowing you to promote and share that healthy activity with your friends/family/colleagues.”
Each morsel is described in easy to understand language, and comes with “How It Helps” page. For example: Hold your finger in front of your race. Stare at it for 30 seconds, then look away … If you spend most of the day looking at your computer and objects that are nearby, chances are you’re at greater risk for nearsightedness. This distance-focusing exercise will help you strengthen your eye muscles and maintain your vision.
The application is available to download now, and is coming soon for Blackberry and Android. As a free application, there’s no reason not to check it out!

Trick Your Ride – iPhone App Review
Trick Your Ride – iPhone App Review is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
Trick Your Ride ($0.99)
Version – 1.0
Review – “Create the car of your dreams with this unique app!”
If you’re a car enthusiast Trick Your Ride may be right up your
alley! Trick Your Ride is a photo editing app that offers you tools to change the appearance of everything from the window tint to the tire rims and accessories! You choose one of the stock photos, or take your own photo and create your dream car!
When you open this app for the first time you’ll be greeted by some background music. This is one of five different custom tracks that you can set and listen to as you create your dream
machine! If one of these is not to your liking you can also use a song from your iPod music library or choose not to play a song as well. This is done from the “Music” menu on the editing screen. Unfortunately it seems that there is no way to edit the background music directly from the main menu of the app.
The main menu screen has 4 buttons. In the upper right corner of the screen is a help button. This takes you to a scrolling window that is full of information on how all of the options within the app work. It is pretty long, but it is also very descriptive and makes it easy to figure out how some of the more complicated features work.
The other three buttons allow you to take a photo with your iPhone’s camera, use a picture from your
library, or use a template that is built into the app and get started! Once you select your photo you’ll see a menu bar
above your photo. This bar is full of all kinds of things that you can use to “Trick Your Ride.”
The first button in the menu takes you back to the main menu. The next button will open up the aforementioned music settings screen allowing you to select the right music to fit your mood! Right next to that button is the “Background” button. This button will bring up a screen with a few template backgrounds and the option to select a background directly from your photo library! It took me a second to figure out how this one works because it doesn’t show up right away. To make the background show up you actually have to erase whatever is in the foreground in front of it. This is explained in the help feature that I mentioned earlier.
The next two buttons allow you to zoom in on the areas that you’re working on and erase things that you don’t want any longer. The zoom feature uses the iOS “pinch” zoom gesture, and the eraser has a slider that allows you to set it to a variable size. The largest size is about the size
of the tip of a finger, and the smallest size is so small that I couldn’t really even see it without looking very closely.
The next four buttons are where the core of the optimization features lie. You’ll find everything from wheels that you can overlay on top of the ones in your photo, down to all kinds of accessories and the ability to overlay text on top of your image! If you need to touch up your photos with a different color can do that with a pen that has variable size, opacity and color. Once you have your photo all finished it’s time to save your work. Touching the button in the upper right corner of the screen will allow you to quickly save it to either your image gallery or directly to FaceBook!
If you enjoy fun photo apps with clip art this one definitely has a unique feel to it. If you also enjoy cars and spend many of your waking hours dreaming about your ideal car, then this is simply an app that you will not want to miss! Either way you’ll be glad to know that you can download this app today for just $0.99 from the iTunes Store. So what are you waiting for? Download your copy today!

Spuzzle – Ask Social Questions – iPhone App Review
Spuzzle – Ask Social Questions – iPhone App Review is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
Version 1.2
Review – “An interactive way to update your friends. Social Questions!”
App developer: Spuzzle Inc
Website: http://www.Spuzzle.com/

A new way to send your updates to your friends, Spuzzle combines the fun of a puzzle into twitter and Facebook to create a sort of Trivia for your friends to solve.
We’ve all gotten used to reading our friends ‘Status Updates’ or Tweets, but now you can add the fun of quizzing your friends. Instead of just telling everyone what you’re doing, where you are, or how you’re feeling you can create a Social Question – send it out and have your friends guess the answer. Interactive Social Updates!

Step 1: Create your Question. This could obviously be done without Spuzzle “Guess where I am?” but is more fun when you can completely customize. While you could create any Question you want (under 100 characters), you can also choose from one of the preset questions included.

Next Step: Include Hints. Here you can add word clues, or picture clues. Include photos already saved on your iPhone, or take a new one.

Step 3 is to send out your Spuzzle. You can notify your friends that you have a new Spuzzle via Email, Facebook and Twitter. You’ll send out your status update for your friends to go to your ‘Spuzzle’ (which will be on Spuzzle.com to answer.

While you will need a Spuzzle account (Free) to create and send your Social Questions, also, if you post via Twitter or Facebook your friends will also need to provide Spuzzle with their email addresses in order to answer the question.

I think this is a fantastic concept. While obviously I could just tweet/update a photo and question, this integrates great within my phone, and is a pretty fun alternate to a twitter client. Having to go through all of the extra registration is a bit of a chore, but only needs to be done once.
Luckily, the App is totally free. So you can test it out, and see if you’ll like the extra interactiveness of sending out Spuzzles instead of regular status updates. Go ahead and grab it from the link below!

Prank Calls – Pallaudio iPhone App Review
Emergency & Critical Care Pocket Guide – iPhone App Review
Emergency & Critical Care Pocket Guide – iPhone App Review is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
Emergency & Critical Care Pocket Guide ($9.99)
Version – 1.0
Review – “Great critical care reference for any medical professional!”
A lot of medical professionals carry pocket guides that contain
various information that they might need in the field. For years Informed has been
a large provider of these small pocket-sized guides, and now they are bringing these great resources directly to your mobile device!
Previously all of these medical resources were released in a simple PDF format much like a lot of digital book formats like you see today. While it was not a bad format, Informed is now releasing all of their apps in a way that allows you to interact with and search for the material that you’re looking for!
When you open up this app the first screen you’ll see is the Topics screen. This is a great way to quickly find information. Touching any available topic will bring up all of the related information. For example, touching the “Medical Emergencies” topic will bring up a list of items to choose from that include Abdominal pain, Abuse, Childbirth, Choking, and many more.
Once you find what you want and open up you’ll find that the information in this app is not just boring data, it is laid out with all kinds of caps, punctuation, bullets and even pictures in some cases. You’ll even find links to things within the app when applicable. For example,
in some of the articles you’ll find links to the poison control center. Touching these links will place a phone call to their headquarters for you.
You’ll also find a variety of different calculators in this app. It includes everything from a simple conversion calculator that handles temperature,
weight, volume and length, down to a variety of different Pediatric calculators. The interfaces for the calculator’s were very easy to understand and use, and they also work very quickly!
The third button in the menu at the bottom of the screen is the “Search/Bookmarks” button. Touching this brings up a list of all your current bookmarks to choose from. Touching any
of them will take you directly to the page that you were on when you created them.
In the upper left corner of the “Search/Bookmarks” screen you’ll see a little magnifying glass. Touching this button will open up a search bar where you can search for anything. This is a great feature that will allow you to quickly find the exact information you are looking for. The searches work in real time as well so there is no waiting to load search results.
If you find yourself carrying a paper version of this or a similar emergency reference then you’ll definitely want to check out this app. If you’re just not that present that usually carries around a reference maybe this would be a good time to start! It’s certainly a good deal at just $10. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and head to the App Store and check it out today!

Informed RN Pocket Guide – iPhone App Review
Informed RN Pocket Guide – iPhone App Review is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
Informed RN Pocket Guide ($9.99)
Version – 1.2
Review – “A great guide for nurses that is truly pocket sized!”
There are good things and bad things about electronic references. The good thing about them is the fact that you can have a virtually limitless amount of information packed into a very small device. The problem with them tends to be that the more information you pack
in, the more difficult they become to navigate. Informed Publishing has addressed this by integrating great information with a simple interactive interface!
When you open up the RN Pocket Guide you’ll see a small menu bar at the bottom of the screen with four buttons. The button on the left of this menu will bring up a list of all the topics that are covered within this app. There are all kinds of topics covered from Cardiac and Respiratory down to Mental Health and Gastrointestinal.
When you find the topic that you need information on, touching it will bring up a list of articles to read.
What really makes this app great though is that the information itself is interactive. If the article you’re reading mentions a test that you might want to perform it will give you a link to
that test within the app, or if it references a phone number it will give you a link to dial that phone number directly.
Besides the articles full of information, this app also offers a variety of different medical calculators. You can access the full list of them by touching the “Calculators” button at the bottom of the screen. Many of them are also available from within various information in the “Topics” section as well.
Another great feature of this app is the “Search/Bookmarks” feature. Anytime you find and are reading an article that you think you might need
later, you can add a bookmark to it by touching the “+” button at the bottom of the screen. You can then access your list of bookmarks either from the main menu or by touching the bookmark button from within an article.
You can switch from bookmarks to the search feature by touching the icon in the upper right corner of the screen. As you type information into the search bar you’ll see live updates of information below. Touching any of the articles that pop up will take you straight to them. This makes it extremely easy to quickly find information on a particular topic. No hunting through topics and subtopics, just type one good key word and head there directly!
If you’re a nurse and you have or used to carry a pocket guide of some sort, this is an app that you should definitely check out. For just $9.99 you can have all kinds of great information literally at the tops of your fingers! So what are you waiting for? Head to the App Store and check it out today!

Holy Roller ($1.99)
Version v2

Holy Roller is an app directed towards Christian people looking to reference Bible verses during the day as a means of motivation or inspiration. Developed by Holy Roller LLC, this app is clean, simple, and gives someone the opportunity to find random Bible verses as they want. However it does even more than that.
First of all, it’s important to note that this app supports meaning different interpretations of the Bible, which is accessible by tapping the Settings button in the upper left hand corner of the default screen.
By default it opens to the “Blessings” page, which says “I am blessed by…” and gives you a wheel of options to pick from. After picking your desire, hitting the “Show Verse” button will pull up a random verse that fits your desire.
The nice feature with this is that it not only shows you the verse but it also includes the Chapter and Verse reference as well.
In addition you’ll see the option to “Spread the Word,” where you can email the verse to someone or even post it to Twitter or Facebook.
Clicking the “New Verse” button at the bottom will pull up a new, random verse that fits your current desire. Hitting “Done” will take you back to the previous menu, where you can choose to find a new verse based on a different quality.
In addition to “Blessings,” there is also an option to reference Bible verses by “Burdens.” When you hit this button it simply says “I am…” and gives you choices such as Alone, Grieving, Worries, etc. When you make your selection here, it will in turn pull up a verse that may serve as motivation during your times of need.
All in all this is a very simple app but could be a priceless app for someone who is looking to add Bible verses into their day as a means for inspiration. It is a very nice looking app and is simple and straightforward to use. If having a religious based app on your phone is important to you, this app may be what you are looking for.
Head over to the App Store today and pick up your copy!

Flashlht – For iPhone 4 Review
Flashlht – For iPhone 4 Review is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
Some apps are so simple in their function, that we hardly a need to explain what it actually does. Flashlight by More Blu Sky is one of these apps. Flashlight is one of a group of apps that have popped up recently that make use of the LED flash on the iPhone 4 as a flashlight. Many were worried that Apple would reject this unconventional use of its hardware, but for the time being, Apple appears to be giving its blessing to these apps.

Toogo – iPhone App Review
Toogo – iPhone App Review is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
Toogo
Version 1.1
I have looked through many (many!) to do lists on the App Store, trying to find a one size fits all app for what I need. I don’t have a problem making my todo list .. I have a problem remembering to pull my list up when I’m near my errands!
Guess what .. there’s now an app for that! Enters Toogo. ..
Developed by Benjamin Nelson, this app is simple and straightforward, but super handy when it comes to reminding you of your daily errands. In a nutshell this app gives you the ability to create location – based to dos .. and then reminds you of your errands when you are near them. Sounds great, doesn’t it?
When you first open the application it defaults to the map screen, which looks similar to an application like Google Maps.
At the top you’ll see Settings, where you can change the map view and even enable the multi-tasking option for the application (when applicable on your device). At the bottom left you’ll see an icon that you will press to find your location (again on applicable devices). In the middle you can toggle between a Map View of your to dos, or a List View. At the bottom right hand side you’ll see the ‘+’ button, which is how you add a new location.
By default your map is empty aside from your current location marking. Pressing the ‘+’ button will take you to the screen where you can add new to do. It asks you for a Name (which will show up on either the list or the map), Location, and a location radius to which you should be notified (either 1/2, 1, 2, 5, or 10 miles).
By clicking the Location button it will default to your current location (if known), however you can either type in an address at the top or you can simply drag the little pin to the location you want it to be at.
(***NOTE .. this part appears to only work when multi-tasking is ENABLED on an iPhone that supports it***) Now comes the fun part. After giving your to do a name, location, and notification radius it is added to your list. When you are driving along and move within your specified radius a popup will appear and remind you of your errand. How handy is that?!?!
My only concern with this app is that it may be battery draining, since it appears to leave the GPS option on your phone active the entire time, through multi-tasking. However I have not used it long enough to confirm or deny this… but I can note a swifter decrease in battery usage and my phone, when not is use, feels warmer than it did before using this app.
If you have a device that can fully support the ability of this app I’d suggest heading over to the App Store now and grabbing your copy at the bargain price of $0.99. While I am thinking it may use a little more battery than your phone sitting idle it may be a minimal tradeoff to how handy this app can be for your every day errands.
If you’re interested in checking out a demo video, made by the developer, head on over to his website.
Enjoy!

My Reading List – iPad App Review
My Reading List – iPad App Review is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
My Reading List ($2.99)
Version 1.1
(only available for the iPad)
Are you an avid reader looking for a way to organize your future reading material? If so then you may enjoy My Reading List for the iPad. This app was developed by 59thirty LLC and is not only a catalog but also an integrated purchasing tool.
The app has a clean and simple interface to it. When you open the app it defaults to your Reading Wish List. In this menu you can see which books are on your list, preview the book cover (by clicking on the cover icon), rearrange or delete books, and even purchases books through amazon.com
In the upper left hand corner you can edit your list .. i.e. remove books you’ve already bought and even rearrange books within the list.
In the upper right hand corner you have the option to add new books to your list. You can add a book either by searching for the name of the book or the author’s name. Once you do that it populates a list of book options where you can select the book you were looking for.
Once a book is added to your list you have the option to buy it, using this app and Amazon.com. Simply click on the “Buy” button and it will pull the book in question up within amazon.com’s website and from there you can select the reading format you are interested in and place your order.
My biggest suggestion for this app would be to incorporate a means to track books that people have read, because that seems to be a common trait among avid readers. That could be as simple as a long, uncategorized list or as nice as breaking it out by genre (possibly pulled from amazon’s website as well), author, or similar categories / ordering.
All in all if you are an avid reading looking for a quick and easy way to keep track of your future reading list you may want to give My Reading List a look. It’s currently on sale in the App Store for $2.99 and currently is available as an iPad only version.
