REVIEW – “This attractive to-do list makes getting things done, even more fun!”
There is really nothing new about ToDo Lists on the iPhone but Dunnit! has a truly unique idea that might just leave all those other lists trailing far behind.
When you first open the app it might seem a bit overwhelming because your task list is already completely filled, but that is because each task is explaining another feature of the app. I was very impressed by the fact that everything about the app is easily and quickly explained so that anyone can pick it up and know how to use all the available features.
I was also very impressed with the options you have for every one of your tasks. You can put normal or urgent, give a due date and time, set it to repeat and even tag it. The tag allows you to organize your tasks into separate groups like work, school, and home, or however you would like. It is nice to have the extra way to look at your apps.
On the main screen the app automatically groups your apps by due date groups so that you can easily see the things you need to focus on immediately and the things that you need to focus on in the coming days and weeks.
But even beyond the ease of use, and extra features such as the ability to view your task history and import your own ToDo list from your computer, this app boasts one extra feature that really makes it stand out.
D
For those of you that use OpenFeint, this app rises heads and tails above the crowd because it allows you to earn achievements and points just from getting your tasks done. So it really encourages you to get things done on time and even ahead of schedule so that you can rack up those points and move up the leader board. In effect it turns boring, mundane tasks into a sort of game, making me think that Mary Poppins has been putting her hands on this iPhone app. (In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun!)
The price tag on this app might put some of you off because it is a bit high for a To Do List app but anything that gives you the motivation you need to get the laundry done or to do your homework on time, is something that is definitely worth the cost.

Star Cargo 3000
Star Cargo 3000 is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
A long spacecraft, reminiscent of 2001’s Discovery One, is in parking orbit above an unstable planet. Mining equipment is being evacuated in large cargo containers which attach directly to the exoskeleton of the giant cargo vessel. But at the same time the containers are propelled upward to the ship, there are violent seismic events on the planet’s surface throwing up dangerous debris endangering the vessel. There may even be weapons fired at the spacecraft from somewhere on the planet. The player must use the touch-screen to zap incoming projectiles until all 10 containers are loaded.
Features:
- Dynamic touch-screen interface intercepts quickly moving projectiles
- Sound affects accompany shots, hits and collisions
- 3 planets, 45 levels, 12 lethal projectiles
- Openfeint connectivity including Leaderboard and Achievements
- Complete scoring with targets, hits, misses and percentages
- Smooth, responsive graphics which react immediately to touch screen

All in One Gamebox – Once upon a time, the bible says, everyone had “threescore years and ten.” Nowadays, the average life expectancy is more like 80 than 70, so obviously we’ll need something to fill up those extra 10 years. Enter All in One Gamebox.
AiOG started in October with “8 games in one.” Now, the app is up to 26 arcade-style games rolled into one neat package. Owners of All in One Gamebox already know when an update is released, go grab it because it’s likely that the developers have added yet another game to the already packed Gamebox.
Games range from the driving challenge 2009 Road Master (go fast, grab power-ups, avoid other cars,) to the fly-and-shoot 1945 Ace Destroyer, to the Warcraft-like Ancient War. They have three things in common: the addictiveness and common-sense controls that earn this app a rarely-awarded 9 points. (Somewhat slow load times —probably unfairly—deprived it of the last point needed to reach iPhone App perfection.) (…)

I am typically not a fan of To-Do list apps, or really productivity apps at all. I can’t even get into the habit of using calendars. It’s not that I have no use for them, I just don’t like having even more things run my life. I like waking up in the morning to my alarm with the idea that anything at all could happen. I realize that every weekday is about the same, but the fact that something random might just happen makes me want to keep my schedule free.
There are some things though that need to get done every day. I know they need to get done, and I usually do them on my own, but something about having a task stare me in the face makes me want to finish it that much more. I really do see the value of a To-Do list, I just have never found one that really makes me want to keep using it.
Dunnit! may have broken the cycle though, with a To-Do list that offers something that no other list app has ever offered, OpenFeint. OpenFeint, for those of you who aren’t aware, is a social gaming platform that keeps track of achievements in apps. For instance, if you kill a certain amount of enemies with head shots in a shooter, you might get a “Head Shot Champ” trophy. The trophies don’t actually do anything, but they are typically a fun way to add some extra gameplay into an app. Openfeint in Dunnit! works the same way, giving you trophies like “No slouch” for completing 10 tasks in a day. The addition of achievements in a productivity app really is a stroke of brilliance.
As for the app itself, it is pretty standard fare for a nice looking To-Do list app. Tasks are added with the standard Apple “+” and are completed by just clicking on the box next to the task. One cool feature I found is that if you click on the “+++” next to the “+”, you can add multiple tasks to a single list. It seems like a dumb addition, but if you are going to the grocery store for a recipe, you can add each item as its own task under the recipe main task. Once created, each task can be titled, given normal or urgent priority, given a completion date, a repeat option, and note, and a tag. The interface is laid out in an easy to read/easy to navigate fashion, with fonts and movements that look native to the iPhone.
If I were to ask for something in a later version, it would be an interface for viewing the lists on your computer. While I like having the list on my phone, it would be nice to be able to check off some of the work tasks without having to open up my phone. With a web viewer, importing tasks into the app would be a breeze. Currently, you can import tasks as log as they are written in the Dunnit! format, but an Evernote style interface would be greatly appreciated.
If you are looking for a new To-Do list app or are just trying to get your life together like myself, Dunnit! really is the way to go. It may not be the most robust To-Do app out there, but it has every option that I need, as well as OpenFeint which will hopefully keep me entertained long enough to become habit forming.
iGlowdown is All the Rave
iGlowdown is All the Rave is a post from: Best Iphone Apps Review Website
Price: $1.99 Score: 8/10 By Steve Beaudry![]()
There must be dozens of DDR/Guitar Hero clones in the app store, but iGlowdown is the first one to use glow sticks. And apart from a couple more features, that’s pretty much where the differences end.
If you’re familiar with the Tap Tap Revenge or Rock Band app, then you essentially already know how to play iGlowdown by GloME Interactive Studios. When you start a new game, you’re asked to chose a male or female character, with others available to unlock later in the game. After that, you choose the colors of your two glow sticks and then select your music. As far as gameplay goes, when the music begins to play you tap buttons on the screen to the beat of the song. If you can stay in time, your character dances around with his/her brightly glowing glow sticks. If you miss a few beats, the glow sticks begin to dim and your character’s dancing suffers.
Personally, I’ve grown a little bored of these kinds of games, but if you’re a fan of them or if you’re into glow sticks and haven’t enjoy the rhythm-tapping genre then this game will be right up your alley. There are only a couple things holding it back from a perfect score:
1) The stick color selection screen could be a little more intuitive. You only get one button to scroll through a boat load of different colors. If you pass the one you want, you have to just keep on tapping until you come back around to it.
2) The song selection screen is a tad bit confusing. You’re supposed to tap on the album art, but the whole information pane looks like a button. When you tap on the song name and nothing happens it’s difficult to figure out why.
Other than that, it’s a pretty solid game. I like that iGlowdown connects with Facebook and Twitter through OpenFeint. I like the syncopated rhythms of at least the first two songs. I like the fun, colorful graphics. I don’t want to sound like I’m bashing it just because I’m just not a fan of the genre. There’s got to be some reason these types of games are flooding the market, and if you’re part of that reason, then you’ll like it.
iGlowdown requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch.
