If you enjoy inspirational quotes and great artwork this is an app that you will appreciate! Scenic Quotes for iPad is an app that will offer a unique quote every day, and has a variety of beautiful nature backgrounds to put behind them. The primary function of this app is to make your iPad a beautiful addition 
to your office space when it’s not in use, and it does that quite well!
The first thing you’ll see when you open up Scenic Quotes is “Today’s” quote over the top of a background. At the bottom of the screen you’ll see four buttons for navigating the app. The far left button will show you “Today’s” quote, while the button right next to it will show you the previous days quote.
The other two buttons for this app are the “Random” and “Frame Mode” buttons. Random does exactly what you would expect, it changes the backgrounds and shows you a randomly selected quote in front of that background. Probably the coolest thing about this app though is the “Frame Mode” option. When you enter into frame mode the menu bar will disappear and the app will switch to a new quote and a
new background every few seconds!
While this app obviously doesn’t do a whole lot of things, it does manage to do what it was designed for quite well! Something that I was fairly surprised about is that the backgrounds all look great whether they are viewed in portrait or landscape mode! Apparently all of the images have 
been zoomed in slightly so that when you rotate your iPad there is a little bit of extra space you didn’t already see to smooth things out!
My only real complaint about this app is that it could probably use some more background images. While this is not a huge deal, it doesn’t take very long to get through all of the available backgrounds and to start to see some duplicates! Another cool feature to see in this app might be to add customizable transitions to the “Frame mode” much like what you see in the photo app settings dialogue.
So whether you’re just looking for a simple way to be inspired on a daily basis, or you just want to add some beauty to your office environment, Scenic Quotes for iPad may be just the app you’ve been looking for! Review – “Get Inspired with Well Said!”
Everyone has those days when we need a little inspiration to keep us going. Enter the “Well Said” app by Sung J. Shin! Well Said is a compilation of famous quotes from various historical figures. There is a free lite version of this app with over 100 quotes, and a paid version for just $0.99 with over 1500 quotes from almost 150 different authors!
The interface for this app is simple, but at the same
time powerful. A lot of apps like this one simply bring up random quotes, or give you a list of quotes, but this one gives you multiple ways to view them, including a “Search” function! The main menu lists all of the different ways that you can view the apps, as well as giving you links to where you can edit your list of favorite quotes or even add your own quotes to the database.
When you touch any of the top three menu options you’ll be taken to the appropriate screen for viewing quotes. At the bottom of the screens is a menu bar that allows you to quickly switch between how you are view quotes, or view your list of favorite quotes. At the top of both the 
“Authors” page and the “Subjects” page is a search bar to quickly find what you’re looking for as well!
While there is a search function built into the individual quote pages, what really sets this app part is the Search page. From here you can search not only by Author and Subject, but you can also search the text of the quotes. This is really nice if you’re trying to find a quote on a specific topic and you don’t find a subject that fits what you’re looking for.
Once you find a quote to view or use the “Random Quotes” method to bring one up you’ll be taken to a screen that displays the category of the quote, the quote itself, and the author of the quote. If you’d like more information on the author of the quote, all you have to do is touch the “Bio” button in the lower left corner of the screen. This will bring up a brief bio about that author and also give you the option to view the wikipedia entry about them as well!
The bio’s are short and sweet, giving you a few details on who they are and when they lived. I did have an issue with view the related wikipedia entries within the app. When you choose to view wikipedia it 
opens up a browser window within the app, but the resolution squashes the entry and makes it appear a little bit jumbled on the screen. I was still able to read the entires, but it just looked a little bit funny.
Along the bottom of the screen where you view quotes is a bar that offers several different methods for sharing the quotes with friends! From left to right you can email a quote, tweet
a quote on Twitter, post it to your wall, or take a picture of the quote. You can also add or remove quotes from your favorites list by touching the button in the lower right corner of the screen.
For the most part this app runs very smoothly, and it offers a lot of thought-provoking quotes as well. If you’re still not sure if you want to spend any money on it, I’d recommend downloading the “Lite” version of the app and checking out the basic interface! With that said, I think that for just $0.99 this app is definitely worth it for someone that enjoys famous quotes. If you spend a lot of time looking up quotes to post on your Facebook or Twitter then what are you waiting for? Head to the App Store and download the Well Said app today!

REVIEW – “Decipher popular quotes and break the code!”
Cipher Lite is an app meant to decipher popular quotes using a unique code breaking system. If you have ever been interested in seeing if you have the smarts to break codes, try this out! Basically, you rearrange letters to decode the message. Users use the left and right wheels at the bottom of the screen to select 2 letters and swap them. If you are stuck trying to solve a quote, there is an Assist mode that helps users figure out the code. If you make a mistake while solving, you have the luxury of having the ‘Undo’ button right at your fingertips. Even though the first quote I had to solve was only six letters and two words long, I did have a lot of trouble trying to get a hold of how to solve the code. I was disappointed that the Assist mode didn’t work with the first puzzle, as the app said that it would be available with future tutorials. I was seriously stuck! It took me awhile to figure out, and when I did I definitely felt accomplished.
There are six different quotes and phrases that are available to solve in the Lite version, which I think is great considering that each phrase would take awhile to break. There are also three different levels, easy, medium, and hard, that are available, with different phrases for each level. I was impressed that they had so many quotes to break, so those who love breaking codes will definitely be entertained for awhile with this app. The interface of this app was clean and simple. Each quote loaded quickly and I was able to work out codes easily with the letter switch tool at the bottom.
I think this is a great app for those who are interested in deciphering codes, so don’t hesitate to pick up this app if you are that person.

So Einstein was a genius. I have a fairly high IQ myself, but I wouldn’t want to carry my intellect in my back pocket, why would I want Einstein’s? At first I thought it would be nice to have quotes instantly at my disposal, but why Einstein all the time and “Hello, there’s this little thing I like to call Google!” It works wonders.
Now that that has been said, I will say that Quick Quotes isn’t the worst thing ever. Quick Quotes developer, Attogear, took some good things into consideration. For starters, that no one wanted to simply read black text on a white screen. They’ve added a nice mellow background of soaring boards that not only gives the reader something to look at, but also a peaceful feeling of sorts.
Users can also form a list of their favorite quotes by pressing the heart at the bottom of the application. If you’re looking for a quote about a specific topic, simply select the magnifying glass and type your interest into Quick Quotes’ search engine. What you’re looking for is not there? Follow the information icon, a letter “I”, at the bottom of your screen and you’re instantly led to Attogear’s website. Here, you can find quotes from other noteworthy figures in history as well as other apps that might assist you in your specific search.
All in all, Quick Quotes has a simple interface that is user friendly. However, I’m unsure as to why someone would just want a long list of Einstein quotes thus it makes me hard to recommend this app. It’s not an app for everyday use, and I’m hard pressed to find a situation in which I’d have to reach in my back pocket for a witty one liner of good ole Al’s. Then again, to each his own.
