The iPhone is all about making our lives easier and there is nothing easier than being able to get rid of that bulky wireless keyboard and mouse. Touch Mouse gives you the ability to control your computer from across the room with ease.
It should be noted that in order to use this program you must download the driver for your computer at www.logitech.com/touchmouse. Once you have the driver installed it is smooth sailing.
Then you simply access the app on your iphone and click your computer’s server. It will instantly give you the connection to your computer. It takes minutes to get everything set up and the end result is amazing.
I was able to do everything I normally do with ease and for once I didn’t have to keep my laptop on my lap where it sometimes gets overly warm. I was surprised at how responsive it was and how easily I was able to adjust to the change.
If you have trouble with it at the beginning I suggest going into the settings and playing around with it until you get it to what feels right and comfortable for you. Most of the controls are just like they are for a touch pad mouse, using two fingers to scroll. The app also works in both landscape and portrait mode so you can choose whichever method feels most comfortable.
A word of warning is that this does give anyone with the app on their phone access to your computer so you might want to ensure that it is protected from scheming friends or someone who might find it fun to mess with your computer.
I was very surprised to find this app for free because it is something that I could see people paying for, especially with the fact that it works rather well. I particularly like the fact that whatever I typed with the iphone showed up on the iphone screen as well, so that I could see up close exactly what I was doing.

LiveAlerts is a great way to get fast and easy information on everything you find important. You can tailor it to your specific needs and even tell it when to alert you to make sure that you do not get notifications at a time when you do not want them.
LiveAlerts has a very narrow focus so some of its features will not be accessible to everyone. The point of LiveAlerts is to give you push notifications on whatever alerts you choose, these include email, news, commuting, missing kids, and weather.
Email currently only works with one email account and only with Gmail accounts. This was something I was a bit disappointed about because even though most of my messages come through Gmail, not all of them do. Now there are plenty of apps that can take care of other emails but it would have been nice to see this app include it as well.
Another alert is Breaking News. This doesn’t give any options so don’t expect things from local newspapers or from specific newspapers. You do not even get the choice to pick what you consider to be Breaking News. Again there are other apps that will allow you to do this. But I would like to see this become more of an all in one app that allows me to not have to worry about having a different app for each alert. 
You can also get commuting information which is basically just bus and train schedules. This of course only works for most of the major cities so it wasn’t much help or interest to me. (Note: Train was misspelled as Trian which is of course one of my pet peeves especially in a paid app.)
The weather alerts allow you to get notifications of specific weather occurrences in your area. It did not have my exact zipcode but it had a nearby area so that was not too bad. I like that I can have it alert to me to specific types of weather just in case there is a severe weather alert or something that I might actually want to know about right away.
The final alert allows you set up notifications for missing children in your state. This is a nice feature as it will save me the trouble of having to receive emails and text messages from friends whenever a child goes missing in my area.
Under settings you can choose the times that you receive alerts which is a nice feature for those that may need it.Though I noticed when I took off the “quiet hours” I would get messages that said “null” and they occurred a few times repeatedly which was a little annoying.
All in all I think this is a good app but it needs a little more to truly wow me over. I want to have a bit more customization as well. If you are looking for a basic alert app then this might be a good option for you but some of the restrictions might disappoint the more serious user.
The good thing is that right now there is a 50% off sale so you can get it for the price for $.99. If it sounds like something you might like then try it out but don’t expect it to make all of your other alert apps obsolete just yet.

This is a free app for gamblers. It very simple but could end up helping to limit your losses on the racetrack whether you be betting on the dogs or the nags. It is a custom built app for multi bets on a certain race. If you type in the odds of a number of horse lets say, the app works out for you how much you should bet on each one in order to generate a similar return no matter who wins. This will never make you fortune on any singular bet, but it will certainly keep you from loosing the lot in one bet.

Great app. Far too expensive but you will find this extremely useful. I use to carry a Filofax ( i know very eighties) and sometimes you can’t beat the written script. However, I considering I am now an iphone user, I thought I should really try and take advantage some cool organizer app. I saw a few of the free ones and they were not for me. I was told about this one and was happy with the recommendation. I was enamored by it immediately but once I started using it I realized its benefits and the calendar is pretty handy. Basically what you have is a To list , a calendar and a grocery list.
