Rednano Mobile, the mobile platform of Singapore’s local search and directory engine rednano.sg, offers users Rednano LOCATE, a location-based service which allows them to retrieve information of businesses or services in close proximity to their location via four integrated service offerings – Directory search, Maps, ‘live’ Traffic updates and Promotions – using their mobile phones.
With Directory, users can search from more than 120,000 businesses, whether retail outlets, restaurants or petrol stations, for instance, located near to wherever they are and get full addresses, contact details and a Map link to navigate their way there. Users can also access ‘live’ Traffic updates to plan their route. They can also enjoy more than 500 exclusive promotions and discounts within their vicinity, available a click away from the Promotions tab.
With Makan, Rednano LOCATE’s latest service offering, users can view food reviews, images and ratings of the establishments in their vicinity to help them decide what to eat.
Makan will initially carry content from the food portal Wat2Eat.com, which is operated by iCell, one of Singapore’s WIRELESS@SG providers. Content from soshiok.com will be added next.
